About

I am originally from Meopham, Kent, I began my musical life at the age of 4 as a pianist before taking up the violin aged 9. My earliest lessons were with a private teacher and a teacher from the Kent Music School, and I also became a member of the Kent Youth String Orchestra.

Following my A-levels, I studied at Chichester University College, part of Southampton University until 1999 when I graduated with a BA(HONS) Music degree. Whilst at University, I developed a passion for folk music, and performed in the University String group and other small groups. After graduating, I spent some time playing live with various different groups, exploring different styles of music ranging from Classical to Rock. I have played with orchestras and string groups as well as folk bands and rock bands. I have also spent time doing solo work and recording tracks for other musicians.
